- Motorola PEBL Rose Bloom for Valentine’s Day

Motorola PEBL Rose
It really has to suck for you gals who are into technology. You deserve more than just pink gadgets. Because you are smarter then they give you credit for. You deserve high end specs and “pretty” that comes in a variety of colors with an elegant design. Sadly, this new Motorola basic phone fits the usual stereotype: pink with regular specs.

The design however is a little nicer then the usual offerings. It’s subtle and elegant. It still has pink, but it’s discreet with 3.5G. The Motorola PEBL Rose Bloom will be available in Korea from SK telecom. No word on price yet. We know that it features a touch sensitive external panel, a 2 MP camera, a 3.5 mm audio jack, Bluetooth and HSDPA.

What do you think ladies? Are gadget makers getting better at giving you what you want?

- Samsung Armani Night Effect now available in the UK

Samsung Armani
It was previously announced that Samsung’s Armani Night Effect would be available for 300€ on November 2008 in Europe. As for other regions, we have no idea. There’s some good news for people in the UK however. The Samsung Armani Night Effect is available now in the UK, from January 9th 2009.

The phone comes with 2.2-inch AMOLED display screen, 3.2-megapixel camera, 120 MB internal memory, microSD card slot and supports HSDPA/GSM network. It’s by no means the top of the range in handsets, but it’s focus is on the beauty of simple design and ease of use.

The Night Effect also features Emporio Armani branded backgrounds and menus, as well as a music recognition service powered by Shazam. It will be sold exclusively by Vodafone and the Phones 4 U group.

Obama branded cellphone
A Kenyan cellphone company has released a Barack Obama-branded cellphone. The red and blue cellphone is covered with fun phrases like “Yes We Can” all over it. The company, Mi Phone, is calling it the Mi-Obama. It’ll cost around $30 there. You may or may not know, Obama’s father was born in Kenya.

Needless to say they are a hot seller. The product in it’s first week of availability has already sold over 1000 units in Nairobi alone. The Director of Mi-Fone says, “The coming of the new President of the USA is an auspicious moment for all Kenyans and the people of Africa. It is our pleasure to be able to launch the Mi-Obama phone as a memento that will always stay within the user’s hearts and minds”.

Can we sell Obama branded cellphones to the locals and make a ton of dough? Yes we can!

Motorola Tundra
AT&T decided to add another model to its rugged push-to-talk-compatible lineup, in the form of the Tundra from Motorola. This one has been available on Rogers for awhile. Some features include: 3G, 2 megapixel camera, stub antenna, AGPS, QVGA display, and microSD expansion.

It’s built to Military Standard MIL-STD 810F specifications to withstand the toughest abuse. So go ahead mistreat this bad boy. It just keeps going and asks for more. Great phone for those who like to be rough with their gadgets.

Nothing real earth shattering, but a solid tough phone.

- Ruslan Kogan working on another Android device

Android
We weren’t sure what would happen to Ruslan Kogan’s dream of building his own Android phone after Google apparently told him the Agora’s design wasn’t up to it. We were a little bummed, to be honest. Well, there’s a new model in the pipeline, and according to Kogan, his company is in the process of redesigning and launching an improved Kogan Agora.

This new phone will overcome the app compatibility issues that kept the original model from launching. Who knows how long it will take, but judging by how quickly he was able to get the first one out, it may just be a few months.

- Acer DX900 : A rebranded E-Ten handset

Acer DX900
It’s unclear if Acer’s upcoming DX900 smartphone that is actually a rebranded E-Ten Glofiish DX900, is Acer’s much hyped new smartphone. The company is likely still keeping most of their newly developed items under wraps. But if this is the phone they were talking about, then color us disappointed.

All the innards are unchanged: Dual SIM support, GPS navigation, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a 3 megapixel camera and a 2.8″ VGA touchscreen display, all powered by Windows Mobile 6.1.

- AT&T to offer the LG Neon

- AT&T to offer the LG Neon

 LG Neon
The LG Neon probably looks familiar, that’s because it’s been released before as the LG KS360. They’re both pretty identical, with a full QWERTY keyboard, 2.4″ touchscreen display and other functions. Your only bonus here is the added AT&T logo on the front.

The LG Neon is targeted at youth whose only communications with others are through texting. No word yet on pricing and availability yet, but we should know soon should you be itching to text with this thing.

Maybe it’s just me, but it looks like a cheap toy. Kids don’t want to text on a cheap looking toy

- More LG Arena KM900 details

LG Arena KM900
Yesterday we took a look at LG's somewhat familiar Arena KM900 phone, and now more details are available, though The LG is still keeping a few things to themselves.

Looks like this one will feature GSM/UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, a high-resolution 3-inch 800×480 touchscreen display and mobile TV. Apparently the phone measures only 11.5mm thick, just a tad slimmer than the iPhone. Folks in Europe may get it as soon as next month from T-Mobile Germany. Stay tuned for more on this one.

- Nokia E63 Phone (E71 Clone)

Nokia E63
Today Nokia dropped an E-bomb on the world with the (completely random) announcement of the E63 smartphone. Essentially it’s a budget E71, with the exception of a couple nice features aimed towards the consumer market. Since it’s an Eseries device, it still retains business-y features such as the ability to switch work/personal modes. More details inside.

In a nutshell, here’s the differences between the E63 and E71:

Nokia E63

- Archos to release Android phone/tablet

- Archos to release Android phone/tablet

Android phone
We’ll probably hear more about it at MWC, but Texas Intruments issued a press release about Archos’s use of the OMAP3 processor in an upcoming “Internet Media Tablet” that runs on Android and doubles as a phone. There aren’t any pictures yet, but the spec sheet reads like an upgraded Archos 5.

Some features include a five-inch screen, up to a 500GB hard drive, a battery that will give you up to seven hours of video playback, and Flash support. The whole thing in a package just 10mm thick. They even mention HD video playback.

This could be a really sweet Android device when it launches in the third quarter.
